This article will teach you how to connect your SparkPost SMTP with ClickFunnels. In this first part, you will learn to set up the necessary DNS records to make sure your emails send properly. Please make sure to continue to set it up within ClickFunnels at the end of the article.

What you will need:
Step 1: Adding a Subdomain to your SparkPost Account
- Open your SparkPost Account.
- Click "Account" on your left sidebar.
- Select Sending Domains.
- Click "Sending Domains."
- Click "Add a Domain."
- Enter your Emails domain (we suggest you utilize a subdomain here, such as sp.macolinoenterprises.com shown in the example).
- Click "Add Domain."
Step 2: Add the SparkPost TXT record to your DNS Settings
- Open your Zone Records Editor (Example given with Clickfunnels purchased domain).
- Add a TXT record.
- Copy HostName without the root domain from SparkPost and Paste into Name input (Example: "scph1118._domainkey.sp").
- Copy Value from SparkPost and Paste into Value.
- Press "Save."
- Within SparkPost, Select "Verify TXT Record."
Step 3: Set Up A Bounce Subdomain
- Scroll down to the CNAME record.
- Open your DNS Zone Record Editor.
- Create a CNAME.
- Type your subdomain into the Name input (example used: sp.macolinoenterprises.com).
- Type sparkpostmail.com into the Value input.
- Press "Save."
- Within SparkPost, click "Verify CNAME Record."
Step 4: Add SPF Record
- Log into SparkPost and click here to go to the SPF Builder.
- Enter your Domain.
- Copy the TXT Record.
- Open your DNS Zone Records for your domain.
- Click on Add to create a new TXT record.
- Enter @ into the Name input and paste the TXT Record into the value input.
- Click here to go to the SPF Inspector to be sure it was set up correctly.
Step 5: Adding a Tracking Domain
- With Sparkpost, scroll to the bottom of your Sending Domain.
- Click "Create a Tracking domain."
- Click "Add Domain."
- Enter a new subdomain (this should be different than the one previously used).
- Select Add Domain.
- Click Settings to get the CNAME information.
- Create a CNAME in your Domains DNS Editor.
- Enter the Subdomain in the name input.
- Enter spgo.io in the value input.
- Click Test inside of SparkPost (This can take up to 48 hours depending on your DNS Service).
