The input element is required to collect data from your visitors. You will need to use the custom field type to collect any custom data beyond the fields that are available by default.
What you will need:

Step 1: Create a Custom Input Form
Note: The Custom Type field only accepts letters and numbers only. (No Symbols, Special Characters, or Punctuation).
- Click on Add New Element or the "+" below an existing element on the page.
- Click on Input Form.
- Hover your mouse over the new Input Form element and click on the Gear icon.
- Select Custom Type from the Input Type drop-down menu.
- Enter text in the Custom Type Field.
- Repeat this process to add additional custom fields.
Step 2: Review of Custom Data
Example #1 View Contact Record
- From within your funnel, click on Contacts.
- Click on the name of a specific contact.
- Click on the General Info tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the custom data.
Example #2 Download All Contact Records
- From within your funnel, click on Contacts.
- Click on Download Contacts.
- Click on the Additional Info tab in the spreadsheet to view the data.

this video doesn't seem to answer my question about limiting text input to valid patterns.
Can the same contact fill out a form more than once? and can this data be sent to us?
