Learn how to set up a Follow-Up Funnel Step to trigger the Facebook Messenger
What you will need:
Step 1: Create A Follow Up Funnel
- Create a Follow Up Funnel.
- Name Follow Up Funnel.
- Add Group Tag.
- Choose Email List which will receive this Facebook Messenger message.
Step 2: Add Facebook Messenger Step
- Enter the Step Name.
- Select Facebook Messenger
Step 3: Facebook Messenger General Settings
- Confirm Step Name.
- Choose A Facebook Page To Send From.
- Select Message Type.
- Add Filter Rule Groups (optional).
- Click Next Step.
Note: Subscription Follow-Up can't contain ads or promotional materials, but can be sent at any time regardless of time passed since last user activity. Promotional Follow-Ups can only be sent to subscribers who have been recently active. For more details on the timing of these messages, check out Facebook Documentation.
Step 4: Set Up Message
- Confirm Message Type.
- Create Initial Message.
- Add Button (up to 3).
Note: You can create a question in the initial message and a number of answers, which are buttons. Then based on which button the recipient clicks, an appropriate response you have created will appear.
Step 5: Schedule
- Select Trigger Times.
Add Push Window (optional)
Note: While sequences will always go out in order, adding send windows may impact the delay sent in sequence. Note that the step will be triggered in the subscriber's time zone if that data is available. If not, the step will trigger in your timezone. Update your timezone?
Click Make Live.
Step 6: Review Summary Page
Note: Triggers immediately after the start of the Follow Up Funnel.
Please note that your message delivery may be delayed up to 30 minutes to ensure your Smart List is fully up to date.
