Question: How do confidence scores work? What is a confidence score when running a split test?
The confidence score is calculated by a proprietary algorithm that will say how certain the system is of the split test results (in the long term) will be. Which page will have more conversions, either the control page or the variation.
Also, please note that the stats may be skewed to one of the pages (control or variation) this will even out in the long run too. Once the pages start getting traffic, the confidence score can change. This is based on the number of sales or opt-ins, the system then calculates the chance of the variation outperforming the control and you will see a difference in the confidence score.
For members to achieve the most accurate results, it's recommended they run a split test for at least 30 days. This will allow the system enough time to return the desired split percentage between your control and variation pages.
The calculation is explained very well here in this article:
In the end, when you run a split test, the idea is to figure out which page is converting better. For more information on Split testing please check this article: https://help.clickfunnels.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006151974
