Allow us to update customer emails.
Your site has a critical issue, in not allowing us to update customer emails. I have customers that accidentally put the wrong email in by one character, and their account cannot be updated. They cannot get emails, and in order to correct it the only solution is to refund them and have them purchase again.
This is a system critical issue. One of the two things need to happen ASAP:
1. Simply allow us to update the customer emails. You can even make them confirm the email address if you like (I have a customer who made a typo I am sure that this happens all the time).
2. Or allow us to connect data from a merchant from one customer account to another. This would allow us to essentially move the purchase data between customer profiles.
REALLY this is a stupid issue for a company as big as clickfunnels. I have taken 1 hour of my time to figure out that I am not allowed to update customer profiles (even if there is an error in it). Now, I have to comp this person the product, but their email on their new account will not be associated with their previous account, so the upsell pages won't work right and their normal access won't work right. If they cancel the membership, there is no way to automatically cancel them in the membership area so they will just get free access for lifre.
PLEASE for the love of all that is holy, fix this the second you see this. I do not want to be dealing with this on a daily basis for the rest of my life. It is actually (as I told your customer service) a very stupid issue for a company as big and old as yours to have.
Like if it is about security, make them verify the account somehow (last 4 of the credit card for example) and double verify the new email. But this is not about account security, it is a time hassling, life sucking pointless issue for a tech company. Name me one billion dollar tech giant where a customer email cannot be updated.
Sorry, there isn't one.
My point I hope is heard. I have built technology, do not tell me this is for the customer's good. It is actually just a dumb issue.

Has there been any resolution to this email issue, we experience the same thing all the time when customers typo their own email or if they have to change the email...there is not a fix and it is leading to duplicate accounts, frustrated clients and more. It seems odd that we can change their password through their profile, but we cannot update their email. Please advise, thank you!

The development team reviews all the suggestions. You can click the top chevron on the right-hand side of the original post to upvote the feature request. This will allow the devs to know what items need to be prioritized. At this time I don't have an estimated time for a solution to this issue.2 -

Definitely a need to have feature! I'm very new to using Click Funnels, but have used old systems that allow for contact updates, I'm shocked there isn't something at this point in Click Funnels years in business for this. Keep passing to DEV Team!!!!
